Use
IPKON silicate capsules are mainly intended for anchor support of roof and side walls in all categories of mines and tunnels dust and gas hazardous. Temperature of the massif can vary from -10 to +50 °C. It also allows using silicate capsules in construction works such as:
Advantages
Processing Characteristics and Features
The main feature of IPKON is that silicate materials, which allow applying this structure at low temperatures (up to - 10º C), are used as components of the mix. The expanding additive is contained in the composition of the mix, which enables creation of the radial thrust in the blast hole increasing the bearing capacity of anchor.
Design features of IPKON silicate capsules allow using these capsules at the difference of diameters of the blast hole and anchor core to 10-12 mm. The possibility of increase in the difference of diameters of the blast hole and anchor core is reached by the fact that the diameter of the internal capsule is 1/3 of the diameter of the entire ampoule. Such ratio of diameters of external and internal capsules allows mixing effectively with the anchor core at the difference of diameters of the blast hole and anchor core up to 12 mm. It does possible to use anchor cores of smaller diameter that allows saving metal up to 30%.
Length and diameter (geometrical dimensions) of IPKON silicate capsules are defined by the customer and can be within the following limits: diameter – 23 – 29 mm, length – 300 – 600 mm.
Comparative processing characteristics of various types of capsules are given in Table 1.

As it can be seen based on the above table, silicate capsules do not concede to other types of capsules in terms of strength of anchor core fixing in the blast hole, and even surpass them in relation to the characteristics such as storage and use conditions, serviceable life.
Thus, IPKON silicate capsules have a series of advantages compared to other types of capsules, and therefore can be used more effectively when fastening mine openings by anchors.
